Top Online Security Tips for Bloggers

Top  Online Security Tips for Bloggers

Blog protection tips.
Security is a major issue nowadays, and
for bloggers its very important to take care of security, if you follow some simple security measures then you can improve your security level, So I am sharing some Online security tips which are helpful for Bloggers.

Use Contact Form on Blogs

Contact forms are the best way to avoid spammers, by using contact forms you can communicate with your readers without revealing your Email and other details publicly, but still many blog owners are using their Email in the about or contact section of their blog , and  content scrapers scrape email from your website and use it for spamming and also for selling email accounts.
And if you are thinking that you are using your email something like this abc[at]example.com on your blog and your email can’t be scrapped, so might be thinking wrong, content scrapping simply works like search engines so they can change the way of their search.
So I will suggest you to use the contact form on your blogs and websites, and also use a different email for different purposes like for contact purpose use a separate email account rather than using one email for all purposes.

Avoid Unwanted Registrations

Always avoid unwanted registrations on unknown websites, if you are very curious to try some new services which requires registration then use your secondary email account for registration, and always use different passwords for different websites, or you can use same passwords for unknown registrations but never use your email account password in registrations.
Thousands of websites hacked daily by hackers, and bloggers always do registration to try new services and also for their blogging research, so as per my suggestion try to avoid unwanted registration, check reviews on web before signing up on a new website.

Use Domain Privacy

Domain privacy is one of the best options to hide your information from who is database , when you register a new domain name, your privacy is open to all and anyone can see your domain and your personal details like your email, address , phone numbers.
But most of bloggers neglect this feature because the domain registrars charge for this service, but the price is very less and you can  afford the price, and if you see it as a security purpose you will find the price is very reasonable.

Use Google Apps
Google Apps is the one of the best services for Bloggers and website owners, you can create your personalized emails with your domain name and you can enjoy the features and services of Google with your personalized email Like admin@abc.com.
I am using Google Apps and very pleased with its flexibility and feature, and for emails I use gmail interface and you already know about gmail, Gmail provides 2 step Verifications for Login which makes Google account bullet proof.
So Google Apps is must for every blogger, now Google apps is not offering Sign up for the free version of Google apps which includes 10 Email accounts, but still you can use it for 30 days as free Trial and after 30 days they will downgrade your account to free version of Google Apps.

Payment Frauds

Many bloggers are cheated by some bad webmasters or websites, bloggers usually experiments with new paid services and offers but sometimes they cheated by others and lose money, before making payment to anyone make sure the service which other person providing is genuine or not, for example many bloggers pay other bloggers to get approved Adsense account but after a few days their account gets banned.
Similarly before making any payment on the website check its terms and conditions what kind of information they save while transactions their transactions are safe or not , also check encryption details of transmission.
Hope All these online security tips will help you to do blogging properly with security.
